DESCRIPTION

In order to extract spectra from NICMOS grism images, the QE variations as a function of wavelength have to be taken into account. The ST-ECF tool NICMOSlook performs this task by determining the appropriate factor from narrow band flatfields. If images have been shifted and combined with "asncombine", the same shifts and combination sequence should be applied to each individual flat field used for the extraction. This task takes a list of flatfields in the same format as NICMOSlook, shifts and co-adds each of the flatfields in the list, and creates a new list which can be used as input for NICMOSlook. The name of the new list is the input list with the name of the association appended. It is essential that the same values for the parameters "resolution" and "rebin" are used in this task and the asncombine task.
