These new optional higher-transmission coatings are optimized for visual and CCD/photographic applications. The Starbright XLT coatings tested 11% brighter across the total visual/photographic spectrum from 400nm to 750mm than the best competitive Schmidt-Cassegrain coatings. And the Celestron Starbright XLT coatings tested 6% brighter than those competitive coatings in the visual spectrum where your dark-adapted eye is most sensitive. You can simply see and photograph more faint object detail with a Starbright XLT coated Celestron telescope.
