Quantum clock (atomic clock) - the time measuring device containing quartz generator, controlled by the quantum frequency standard. Atoms play a role of pendulum. The frequency of atoms radiation while the atoms passing from one energy level to another regulates the quantum clock. This frequency is so stable (error 10^-11 - 10^-13) that quantum clocks allow to calculate the time more exactly, then astronomic methods.
