The atmosphere of the Earth (from the Greek atmos - a steam and sphere) is an air environment around the Earth, rotating with it. Its mass is 5,15*1015 t. The composition near the surface is nitrogen - 78,1%, oxygen - 21%, argon - 0,9%, some percent parts of carbon dioxide, hydrogen, helium neon and other gases. In the low layers there is a water steam (20 km) 3% at terrestrial tropic and 2*10-5% at Antarctica. At the 20 - 25 km of height there is an ozone layer saving the nature in the Earth alive. Helium and hydrogen are in the great heights, then comes ionosphere with disintegrated molecules (into atoms and ions). Depending on the temperature (see picture) the atmosphere of the Earth is divided into the troposphere, stratosphere mesosphere, thermosphere, exosphere. The atmosphere of the Earth possesses an electric field. The nonuniformly of its heating helps the total atmosphere curculation, which influences the climate and the weather of the Earth.
