Hello! If you want to viewing or hearing images or audio data stored in any binary format, but not know how, this page written specially for you!

Audio files

If you are the owner of SUN or SILICON GRAPHICS workstation, i'd like to propose NAS ( Network Audio Sistem ) for you. NAS can be used to play audio data stored in the .SND, .AU, or .WAV formats common on Sun workstations and PCs. I use it at different Sun workstations (SS10, SS IPC, SS SLC) and it compiled easy and work perfectly. You can found this software in our FTP archive. Just click here and download file nas-1.2p2.tar.gz via FTP. For hearing of sounds stored in MOD format you can use TRACKER program. This one work perfectly at my SS 10. You can found "tracker" in our FTP archive. Just click here and download file tracker-4.33.tar.Z via FTP. Also, you can found other usefull sound related programs for UNIX in /pub/unix/audio in our FTP archive.

Graphic files

For viewing images stored in different formats you can use "XV" program. The "XV" program displays images in the GIF, JPEG, TIFF, PBM, PGM, PPM, X11 bitmap, Utah Raster Toolkit RLE, PDS/VICAR, Sun Rasterfile, BMP, PCX, IRIS RGB, XPM, Targa, XWD, possi- bly PostScript, and PM formats on workstations and terminals running the X Window System, Version 11.
