Dear Colleague, We would like to inform you that the 7-th edition of the International Workshop "Lie Theory and Its Applications in Physics" shall be held in Bulgaria (resort "Chaika", near Varna, on the Black Sea), 18 - 24 June 2007. (Monday, June 18th, is the arrival day, Sunday, June 24th, is the departure day.) The first three workshops were organised in Clausthal (1995,7,9), the 4th was part of the 2nd Symposium 'Quantum Theory and Symmetries' in Cracow (2001), the 5th was organised in Varna (2003) http://theo.inrne.bas.bg/~dobrev/LT-5/. The 6th was part of the 4th Symposium 'Quantum Theory and Symmetries' in Varna (2005), but has its own volume of Proceedings, http://theo.inrne.bas.bg/~dobrev/qts-4.htm It is a meeting intended for both physicists and mathematicians. The preliminary topics are: - Representation Theory - Infinite-Dimensional Lie Groups and Algebras - Quantum Groups - Superalgebras - Special Functions - Symmetries in String Theory - Supergravity - Gauge, Noncommutative, Conformal Field Theories - Integrable Systems - Symmetries in Dynamical Systems - Symmetries in Condensed Matter and Statistical Physics We shall publish Proceedings. The work of the Workshop will be organized in five morning sessions and four afternoon sessions. The talks start on Tuesday, 19 June, in the morning, and end on Saturday, 23 June, in the late afternoon. Thursday afternoon is free with organized excursion. The Conference site is situated in the resort area extending to the north-east of Varna on the Black Sea Coast. Varna is Bulgaria's third largest city and main naval port. The most convenient way to travel from abroad is by plane to Varna airport. Travel by train is to Varna train station. Detailed travel information will be given later. We cordially invite you to attend the meeting. There will be a participation fee (including the Proceedings volume, the welcome party, excursion, coffee breaks, conference materials) which will be fixed later (but not higher than 200 Euro). Please inform us at your earliest convenience whether you plan to attend, even if your answer is tentative. With my best regards, Vladimir Dobrev (for the Organizing Committee) --------------------- Professor V.K.
