spectroscopy of new Hamburg/SAO survey BCGs

Abstract:

Spectroscopic results for a few galaxies from the Hamburg/SAO survey are presented. Chemical abundances have been determined and one of them HS0833+3542 shows a very low metallicity amounting to 1/30 of the solar value. The results for the SN 1998bv, detected in the HII galaxy HS1035+4758, appear to be consistent with a regular plateau type-II supernova classification.
