Survey of HI integrated emission in eXtremely-Metal Deficient (XMD) galaxies |
In collaboration with Jean-Michel Martin, Observatoire de Paris,
with the Nancay Radio Telescope (France).
The emission of atomic hydrogen (HI) in the line 21 cm of 22 XMD galaxies was observed with NRT. Profiles of all observed galaxies are shown in the figure on the top. Figure in the bottom shows the derived HI masses of the observed XMD galaxies versus their blue luminosities. Both global parameters MHI and L(B) span a large range of about 2 orders of magnitude. Their ratio in the studied sample also varies by about a factor of 10. All these facts indicate inhomogeneous content of XMD group. See detailes in the paper by S.A. Pustilnik and J.-M.
