The search for blue compact galaxies. Surveys.

One of the important Laboratory directions is creation new BCG samples. New samples give us the new interesting individual objects and good data for statistical studies of BCG phenomenon and related topics.

o Hamburg-SAO Survey (HSS) for emission-line and blue compact galaxies

o Deep Survey KISS (KPNO International Spectroscopic Survey)

Complex BCG studies in various domains

We look for useful information on BCGs over all domains. It's very interesting and exciting.

o CCD imaging and photometry of large BCG subsample

o H-alpha imaging of BCGs

o Study of BCG in far IR with ISO

Study of specific BCG related problems

Many various studies are in progress. Some of them are illustrated below.

o Search for the evolutionary youngest galaxies and formation problems

o Cumulative effect of SN and massive star winds onto interstellar medium. Galactic superwinds

o BCG Phenomenon versus Companions and Tidals

o The nature of low-brightness extended halos in the nearest extremely low-metallicity BCG
