Software
Work
Scan Program:
for Windows.
For the calibration of RATAN-600 data you will need to Download
Nobeyama Fluxes (1, 2, 3.75, 9.4, 17 GHz): year 19992000200120022003
Brief description of Work Scan
Main functions of processing, realized
in the program are:
-
Displaying of a scan(s) or it (them) fragment(s)
in arbitrary combinations and scales;
-
Correction of various (not fatal) defects
of data;
-
Convolution with various smoothing filters;
-
Centring scans obtained at a different
times and with a different steps between points;
-
Calculating of the lower enveloping curve
or an average scan from observations data for a few days;
-
Simple mathematical operations with scans
(addition and multiplication by a constant);
-
Calculating of series of parameters for
local sources, such as an one-dimensional coordinate, a flux , a size of
the source, by using the method of the gauss analysis for the separation
of sources to components.
-
Any image represented on the screen during
processing can be sent to the printer or saved on the disk in a colour
WMF (Windows Metafile) format or black-and-white PS (Post Script) format.

COMMENT This table contains the set (TFIELDS) of 1-dimensional
(TFORM#
COMMENT and TDIM#) full disk scans of the Sun at microwaves
(TTYPE#)
COMMENT obtained with the RATAN-600 radio telescope.
The fan beam
COMMENT observations are made daily in transit mode near
the local noon
COMMENT (i.e. at about 9 UT). Both R-handed and L-handed
circular
COMMENT polarizations are registered. The time in the
DATE_OBS is the
COMMENT calculated UT time of the transit of the solar
disk center through
COMMENT the local meridian. A small deviation of antenna
beam position
COMMENT from local meridian and also the difference dUT1
are not
COMMENT accurately corrected. About 40 frequency channels
in the range from
COMMENT 1.0 GHz to 18 GHz (i.e. at wavelength 30 to 1.6
cm)
COMMENT are used simultaneously. The beam size is frequency
dependent.
COMMENT The horizontal HPBW is approx. 225/OBS_FREQ_GHZ
ARCSEC.
COMMENT The vertical HPBW is approx. 127/OBS_FREQ_GHZ
ARCMIN.
COMMENT If you will have any problems with this FITS-format
please write
COMMENT to Solar Group. E-mail sun_a_ratan.sao.ru
