Abstract . Base d o n ne w observationa l data , estimate s wer e mad e o f heliu m abundanc e i n 1 4 chemicall y peculia r He-ric h stars . Th e dependenc e o f heliu m abundanc e o n ag e i s derived , whic h show s undoubtedl y th e heliu m anomalie s t o enhanc e wit h age . Nea r th e zero-ag e lin e th e heliu m abundanc e i s normal . Thi s resul t i s a n additiona l indicatio n tha t C P star s for m o n th e zero-ag e line . Th e enhancemen t o f heliu m anomalie s i s probabl y du e t o accumulatio n o f heliu m i n th e uppe r atmospher e an d t o th e growt h o f th e win d a s th e star s evolv e o n th e mai n sequence .
