SITe CCD Imaging Products
SITe focuses on scientific grade CCD imaging components and modules,
providing both standard design and custom CCDs for user-defined performance
specifications. SITe's engineering and manufacturing teams design and build
custom CCD imagers for use in the most demanding applications, including
NASA programs, satellite platforms, and other research projects.
Standard components range in size
from a 512 x 512 pixel format for small-area imaging requirements to a
2048 x 4096 pixel format, three-edge buttable imager for large-area imaging.
Device formats are available as front-illuminated or thinned, back-illuminated
CCDs.
Information about our products may
be downloaded in two ways.

If you would like the complete data
sheet including all photographs, charts and diagrams, please click here
to download the Adobe
Acrobat Reader for PDF documents. Then click on the

files, we have given you the approximate time it will take to download
each document using a 28.8 modem.
- SITe Imager in a 512 x 512 pixel
format. This component is designed to image scenes efficiently at low
light levels from UV to near IR.
Text only version (downloads in seconds).
PDF version (downloads in about. 3 min using a 28.8 modem).
- SITe Imager in a 1024 x 1024
pixel format. This component is used in imaging applications including
digital spot mammography. This CCD combines a large pixel size (24µm,
square) with low read noise and low dark current obtained from an MPP (multi-pinned
phase) structure.
Text only version (downloads in seconds).
PDF version (downloads in about 5 min using a 28.8 modem).
- SITe
Imager in a 2048 x 2048 pixel format. The physical structure of
this thinned, back-illuminated component allows simultaneous readout of
each 1024 x 1024 quadrant. This CCD is ideal for scientific applications
and is the word's largest thinned, back-illuminated device.
- SITe Imager in a 2048 x 4096
pixel format. This device offers the option for frame transfer architecture
which provides the ability to capture and store images more rapidly than
the standard full frame architecture. The three-side buttable design facilitates
large mosaic focal planes. The ability of mosaic imagers to cover large
areas is especially useful in applications such as full breast mammography
X-ray imaging and the increasingly large planes of new generation telescopes.

PDF version (downloads in about 5 min using a 28.8 modem).
- SITe TEC 1024 x 1024 or TEC
512 x 512 pixel formats. These TE Cooled modules are provided with
high quality electronics to eliminate thermal management hassles.
TEC 1024 x 1024 Text only version (downloads in seconds).
TEC 512 x 512 Text only version (downloads in seconds).
TEC 1024 x 1024 PDF version (downloads in appx. 4:15 using a 28.8 modem).
TEC 512 x 512 PDF version (downloads in about 4 min using a 28.8 modem).
- SITe CCDs with Fiber Optic Attachment.
Fiber Optic attachments are available as windows or as tapers to enhance
a much better radiation-damage reduction to the CCDs as well as being an
alternative to conventional lens-coupled systems.
Text only version (downloads in seconds).
PDF version (downloads in about 1 min using a 28.8 modem).
- Foundry Service. If you require
a specialized imager design for your application, please contact Ana
Marie Smith for a copy of our non-disclosure agreement. Requests
will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
