Pupils from preliminary school took an active part in this meeting. A group of children sang Russian folk songs. The songs were different: one was about the celebration of "Masleniza", another one was about our Motherland. Our guests really liked a young boy who played "balalaika". It was great. It helped British girls to learn more about our country, our traditions and culture. Because to tell the truth most of them new only some facts about Russia (where it is situated, who live here, and it is always cold here). And looking at the children wearing folk costumes they had an opportunity to imagine our ancients to understand our history.

 

 

There are also a plethora of religious and secular buildings of all styles and periods. Among these, those by Christopher Wren, the "architect of London", are outstanding. Numerous museum and galleries display precious and interesting finds from all parts of the world and from all stages of development of nature, man and art. We also saw Russian Ballet. A nice beautiful girl was dancing for our guests. She was perfect. Last year when another group of British teenagers came to our school she also danced for them. The children from 7th form prepared a play. They were speaking English. Everybody liked it very much.
