sn04a_i.jpg Koichi Itagaki was busy at the beginning of 2004.   This one is a type II, and for a month, brightest of the year.   This is the little galaxy next to M13 We have a DSS Photometry reference image made by Odd Trondal.  Icon generated from Itagaki san's discovery image.  This supernova is in the Constellation Hercules.
