Supernova 2000H in IC 454

Supernova 2000H in IC 454

This page is devoted to information on Supernova 2000H in IC 454 Basic information on this SN, including the last reported brightness, on this Supernova can be found on the main page. Information on the original web pages for many of these images can be found on the Supernova links web page.

sn00h_i.jpg This one started with a quick e-mail from Weidong Lee of LOSS. In a nice change from the SN of January the IAU came out that evening. It turns out that Mark Armstrong shares this discovery, and he found it independantly. To make matters more interesting, Mark had a "pre discovery" images of this one to post. It's amazing to get so many images of an SN that isn't even brighter than mag 17, but this one is a pretty picture. Supernova 2000H reached maximum brightness at mag 16.6 (with no filter) on 2/10. This one didn't last long.
