    From [vsnet-alert 2721] SN 1999ac in NGC 6063

    Dear SN watchers,

    Another bright SN has been discovered by KAIT team. According to IAUC 7114, SN 1999ac was discovered on Feb. 26.5, and its location is R.A. = 16h07m15s.01, Decl. = +7o58'20".4 (2000.0), which is about 24" east and 30" south from the nucleus of the host Sc galaxy NGC 6063. There is some question between the coordinate and the offset (in declination), but it should be safe to say that this SN appears on the south-east edge of the spiral disk.

      Reported magnitudes are;
    19980721.2 >190C  KAIT
    19990220.5 >175C  KAIT
    19990226.5  152C  KAIT
    19990227.5  150C  KAIT
    , which indicate that this SN would be on brightening phase.

    The spectroscopy has not reported. If it is of typical type Ia SN, its peak magnitude would be around 14.5. Further monitoring is greatly encouraged.
