Observation Night at the Arecibo Observatory

On Saturday, June 16th 2012, the Arecibo Observatory Visitor Center together with the Puerto Rico Astronomy Society implemented the тАЬObservation Night at Arecibo ObservatoryтАЭ. The activity was able to attract over 350 people of all ages to the Arecibo Observatory facility. Among the topics presented was the Solar Storms, this because in the year 2013 the sun will show the most activity of its 11-year cycle. The latest information about astrobiology and the possibility of extraterrestrial life from a scientific point of view was also shared. In another conference details from the new mission to mars were presented. These are just a few examples of all the amazing scientific material that was shared in the activity.
