Substorm electric field as seen by the Arecibo IS radar

Relate the strength and duration of under-shielding and over-shielding electric fields to the IMF magnitude and direction and solar wind dynamic pressure and the changes the imp ose on dayside, p olar-cap convection. Utilize the new capability of the dual b eam system in Arecib o to measure instantaneous measurement of the East/West comp onent of the electric field and relate it to the different phases of the substorm.
