Proposal Title: Radar Detection of Six Mclass Asteroids
ABSTRACT:
We propose to observe six Mclass asteroids, five of which have never been observed. Our purpose is to continue
our systematic investigation into the properties of the Mclass asteroids, long thought to be remnant cores of early
planetesimals. Successful observation of these six objects will: (1) increase our total sample size of observed
asteroids by 25% to 25 total objects; and (2) provide a second look at a potential Mclass contact binary, 678
Fredegundis.
