Confirming detection of a newly discovered galaxy in the Zone of Avoidance

The undergraduate team from UW-Madison used Arecibo recently to observe several standard galaxies and two newly detected galaxies in the Zone of Avoidance (ZoA), pro ject s2425. The ZoA galaxies were discovered in observations of the Galactic plane using the Spitzer Space Telescope. Besides infrared colors nothing else is known about these galaxies. We have a tentative detection of SPITZER192404+145632 and would like to request 2 hours of additional telescope time to properly measure the HI profile of this galaxy.
