Proposal Title: A deep search for radio pulsars in two supernova remnants
ABSTRACT:
Motivated by recent discoveries of faint young pulsars in with supernova remnants, we request 10 hours of time to
carry out the most sensitive radio pulsar searches yet undertaken towards two compact, shell-type remnants. Both
remnants will be observed for two complete transits at epochs separated by a few weeks to conrm any pulsar
candidates found and, if a pulsar is detected, measure a period derivative. Finding pulsars in these remnants would
further our knowledge of the properties of pulsar/supernova remnant associations.
