Proposal Title: Gas-rich Galaxies and Lyman-Alpha Quasar Absorbers
ABSTRACT:
We propose deep 21-cm spectral line observations along three lines of sight where quasar absorbers have been
mapped in the redshift range 0.1 expected HI galaxies with M >3  10 8 M solar and the 37 Lyman-alpha absorbers along the three sightlines. This
experiment will test the cosmic environment of quasar absorbers that account for most of the baryons in the local
universe.
