Proposal Title: The Outer Edge of High Velocity Cloud WvW 413
ABSTRACT:
The scalelengths, on two orthogonal axes, with which the neutral phase of the hydrogen in the High Velocity Cloud
WvW 413 will be measured, and the Edge Column Density (where ionized and neutral phases are equally dense)
will be determined. Comparison of these quantities with those of other HVCs that have been similarly mapped
will help us constrain the distances to the clouds and the extragalactic UV radiation eld.
