Proposal Title: Delay-Doppler Radar Observations of the Galilean Satellites
ABSTRACT:
We propose to make delay-Doppler radar observations of the Galilean satellites with the Arecibo S-band system in
the Fall of 1999. The primary objective will be to obtain accurate ranges to re ne orbital parameters and study the
5.7-yr libration in the Laplace resonance. In addition, the same data set will be used to make full-disk
delay-Doppler images of radar re ectivity.
