Searching for Pulsars in Unidentified Fermi Ob jects

Since the launch of the Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope, about 50 known radio pulsars have been identified as gamma-ray pulsars, and more than a dozen new gamma-ray pulsars, with no prior identification at any wavelength, have been discovered. This represents an order of magnitude increase compared to January 2008, when only seven gamma-ray pulsars were known. In a related proposal we request some Arecibo telescope time to search for the hypothetical radio counterparts of the new gamma-ray pulsars. Here we request time to search for radio pulsars in new unidentified sources discovered by the Fermi satellite.
