Proposal Title: URGENT PROPOSAL FOR RADAR OBSERVATIONS OF ASTEROID 1999FN53
ABSTRACT:
This recently discovered object, classi ed as a potentially hazardous asteroid by the Minor Planet Center,
approaches to within 0.06 AU from Earth during the requested tracks. Its e ective diameter probably is between
0.5 and 1.0 km. The echo strength should support decameter-resolution imaging and, if the orientational coverage
is adequate, reconstruction of a geologically detailed shape model.
