NASA's Deep Impact spacecraft is on course to encounter 2002 GT in January of 2020, but very little is known about the asteroid, and the observations we propose will support the spacecraft by providing information otherwise unavailable from any other ground-based technique. Outreach Abstract: We propose radar observations to study the size, shape, rotation, and to improve the orbit of near-Earth asteroid 2002 GT in June of 2013. NASA's Deep Impact spacecraft is on course to encounter 2002 GT in January of 2020, but very little is known about the asteroid, and the observations we propose will support the spacecraft by providing information otherwise unavailable from any other ground-based technique.
