animous resolution of the Division for Planetary ences of the American Astronomical Society, as voted the membership attending the 39th Annual Meeting Wednesday October 10, 2007.

RESOLVED:
The Division for Planetary Sciences of the American Astronomical Society hereby recognizes the importance of the Arecibo Observatory and its planetary radar capability to our science and to planetary protection issues. We fervently hope a resolution to the Arecibo budget impasse will be found that maintains the viability of this critical facility.
