T-SYS READINGS FOR DOME RECEIVERS, June 21, 2004

The system temperature file can be decoded in the following manner:

Rcv <receiver number> <center frequency> …
<receiver number> <caltype> <cal A in K> <cal B in K> <tsys A in K> <tsys B in K>

i.e. for
rcv  1  327.0 6  3 0 if1 -45.91 -46.92 if2 -45.24 -44.60  cor  0.93  0.94  4  5
1        hcorcal 73.190 76.090  144.0  148.0

The Tsys for Ch A/B is 144K/148K respectively.

Acceptable Tsys for each receiver and radar protection type:

327 MHz Receiver - Below 150K

611 MHz Receiver - Below 150K

430 MHz Receiver – Below 60K

L Wide Receiver – Below 40k (COVER)

ALFA Receiver \226 Unknown (COVER)

S Radar (S-Narrow) Receiver – Below 40K (SHUTTER)

S Wide (S-Lo) Receiver – Below 50K (SHUTTER)

S High (S-Hi) Receiver \226 Below 60K (SHUTTER)

C Band Receiver – Below 40K (SHUTTER)

C-Hi Receiver – Below 40K (COVER)

X Band Receiver –Below 50K (COVER)

A)The 327, 430, 611 MHz receivers will read near 300K if the 430MHz CH1 receiver is on LOAD. Always make sure that the 430 MHz receiver is on Antenna prior to T-SYS measurements.

B)L-Band receiver may have Bandpasses which are very wavy if the protecting covers are in place.

C) The S-Lo, S-radar, S-wide, C, C-hi, X receivers have shutters or covers for protection from the S- Band Transmitter. Again, these receivers will have bandpasses which look very wavy If they shutters or covers are closed or on.
