1. Basic Information:

Frequency Range (GHz): 2.24 - 2.34 or 2.33 - 2.43

Name and Number:

sbn, 12
Measured Sensitivity (K/Jy): 10*
Measured System Temp (K): 23, 25*
Native Polarization: Circular (can be changed to linear with sufficient advanced notice). The polarizer is a narrowband turnstile, and is only circular at 2380 MHz. At 2296, it is about 10% linear, but the polarizations are still quite orthogonal.
Beam Size (at 2.38 GHz): 130 arcsec
Available Filters:

The receiver has a switch selectable 0.1 GHz filter at ether 2.29 or 2.38 MHz. click here for a description.

Warnings and Important Notes: This receiver is expected to be replaced by the end of 2006.

*See calibration info below for a more accurate description of the telescope parameters!

3. RFI situation:

Very strong RFI outside of the window 2.35 to 2.40 GHz for the upper filter (2.33-2.43 MHz). The lower filter (2.24-2.34) is not well characterized.

4. Recent Events:

The electronics department maintains a detailed Receiver log.

5. Receiver History:

The turnstile polarizations were swapped on 2003 Oct 15, so that RCP (polarization A) is the colder one. The cables were also swapped, so there should be no visible change except the temperature and the cal values.
