This is the webpage of the Working Group on Optical Interferometry Data Standards, part of IAU Commission 54 (Optical Interferometry).
Mission Statement
The near-term goal of the working group is to develop enhancements to the OIFITS data exchange standard, in particular:
- Standardise and incorporate existing practice into the standard.
- Prioritise enhancements that would benefit a broad cross-section of the optical interferometry community.
- Represent the interests of the major facility optical interferometers.
