The AMI-Planck follow-up campaign

Introduction

The Planck 2013 data release included a catalogue of 1227 galaxy clusters detected via the Sunyaev-Zel’dovich (SZ) effect, the largest SZ-selected cluster catalogue to date. Of these, 337 are accessible to the Arcminute Microkelvin Imager (AMI) telescope, which is a radio telescope designed for SZ studies and operated by the Cavendish Astrophysics Group at Lord’s Bridge, Cambridgeshire (see AMI Consortium: Zwart et al. 2008 for detailed technical information about AMI). These clusters were observed with AMI with the aim of providing validation, improved positional estimates, and higher-resolution SZ maps as well as checking the consistency of the derived cluster parameters between the two instruments.

First Data Release

Technical information about the observing, mapping and modelling techniques and strategies can be found in AMI Consortium: Perrott et al. (2014).

This website currently contains results for the 195 clusters with Planck signal-to-noise ratio > 5; results for the remaining clusters in the catalogue with 4.5 тЙд SNR тЙд 5 will be added at a later date. For each cluster, AMI maps, information about the 15 GHz source environment, and cluster modelling results are available for display or download.
