I am a postdoc in the Cambridge Planck Analysis Centre (CPAC), based in the Cavendish Astrophysics Group and the Institute of Astronomy. CPAC is a contributor to the simulations and data analysis for ESA's Planck mission.

Planck is a satellite that will map the anisotropies in the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) radiation. The aim of the Planck mission is do this more accurately and down to smaller angular scales than previous missions.

Previously, as a graduate student I researched the applications of geometric algebra to theoretical physics and mathematics. I worked on Clifford analysis and group theory, in particular, representations of Lie groups and their application to higher-spin wave equations and gauge theory.

As part of my research I wrote a package called GA to do calculations with geometric algebra of any dimension and signature in Maple. You can find out more about geometric algebra from the Geometric Algebra Group web page.
