The first annual meeting of the CRISP project

This week I am at the first annual meeting of the CRISP project.

The acronym CRISP stands for Cluster of Research Infrastructures for Synergies in Physics (http://www.crisp-fp7.eu/) and is a relatively new EU-funded project. The Square Kilometre Array will be one of the research infrastructures that will benefit from the CRISP project and the University of Cambridge is about to join the CRISP project in order to deliver some of the technology which will be used in the SKA.

In particular, we are likely to be involved the development and testing the system that will be used to store the raw UV data for to duration of each observation in order to support iterative calibration algorithms.
