Looking for Galactic foregrounds
and CMB polarization with SPOrt

We discuss some distinctive features of SPOrt, an experiment
planned to measure the polarized diuse radiation in the 22 -
90 GHz range from the International Space Station. Thanks to
simulations of SPOrt's performance and of the astrophysical and
cosmological scenario, we analyse its capability of recovering po-
larized sky maps with suitable destriping techniques. We also
discuss the expected Galactic foreground angular spectra, in par-
ticular by computing the synchrotron spectra at lower frequencies;
and the problem of foreground separation in the cosmological win-
dow.
