Period--luminosity--shape of light curve relation
for Cepheids in LMC and SMC

Cepheids are one of principal yard­stick of the universe. Their use
is based on the period--luminosity relation. In this paper we report
our analysis of the period--luminosity--shape of light curve relation.
The data we used came from catalogs of LMC and SMC cepheids
produced by OGLE­II microlensing survey. We used principal
component analysis of the set of Fourier coefficients for long period
cepheids in LMC and SMC.
The results are used to derive a method for estimation of distances
from Fourier coefficients.
