Ted Holmes, the winner in 1941 (died of leukaemia
on 1st December 1962; buried in Woden Cemetery, Anglican Lawn, C494).
Walter Stibbs, the runner-up in 1941 (Emeritus Professor,
ANU Astrophysical Theory Centre).
