Host galaxy Investigation Tool for gaMma ray bursts And superNova
H.I.T.M.A.N. is a program that I have written to analyze transient host galaxies and obtain charateristics and properties of them. Parts of the program borrow from astronomical libraries and other routines. It is flexible to work in any optical and infrared filters. It determines physical, photometric, and cosmological properties of the host galaxies and can also correlate with transient properties. It is quite versatile in being able to use multiple object mode or single mode. Any routine can be done stand alone instead of the full routine. The full routine begins with an image and utilizes SExtractor and obtains the photometry from the image and then calculates various propeerties.
The program is almost fully complete and will be made public available. The full details of the program will be described in Tucker et al 09a, and Tucker et al 09b, in prep. If you would like to know more, feel free to contact me.
