I am an ARC Future Fellow in the Research School of Astrophysics &
Astronomy at
Mount Stromlo Observatory
in Canberra, Australia.
stellar yields and model data (Karakas & Lattanzio 2007, PASA)
AGB model data
AGB stellar yields
Previous work experience:
From 2009 to 2011: I was a Stromlo Fellow, based at based at Mount Stromlo Observatory.
From 2006 to 2009: I was an ARC funded
Postdoctoral Fellow based at Mount Stromlo Observatory.
From 2003 to 2006: in Canada, two years at Saint Mary's
Unviersity in Halifax, and a year at
McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.
3 months in 2007 as a visiting scholar at the University of Chicago
and Argonne National Laboratory, visiting Drs. Ken Nollett and Jim Truran.
I was awarded my PhD thesis in computational astrophysics in January 2004
under the supervision of
Prof. John Lattanzio.
My thesis is available in electronic form in either
gzipped postscript or
pdf format
Upcoming 2012 Conferences:
Nuclei in the Cosmos, Cairns, Australia, August 2012
Some of the topics I am interested in:
The evolution and nucleosynthesis of AGB stars
The effect of reaction rate uncertainties on stellar nucleosynthesis
Abundances in planetary nebulae and globular clusters
The AGB contribution to the chemical evolution of galaxies & globular clusters
Pre-solar grains extracted from meteorites
Barium stars and related chemically-peculiar stellar systems
Circumbinary disks around evolved stars and wind accretion
