Meade Series 4000 Color Filter Set #3 #07528. Meade Series 4000 Color Filters permit observation and photography of planetary surface detail that is often virtually invisible without filtration. Choose the filter or filter set that best meet your needs and see what you have been missing! Use filters individually or stacked to achieve selective filtration of the visual color spectrum.

Manufactured from the finest optical glass, each filter has its color spectrum dyed into the glass instead of being done with inferior color coatings. All filters are anti-reflection coated on both sides of the glass for the highest performance and are threaded for and compatible with all Meade Series 4000 and Series 5000 eyepieces.

Product carries full one year Meade factory limited warranty.

Color filters are considered by many to be an essential "must have" for observing and imaging the Moon and planets. The Series 4000 Color Filter Set #3 includes the following filters:

#8 Light Yellow (83% Transmission) - popular for enhancing lunar features and observing red and orange features of Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune. #21 Orange (46% Transmission) - to enhance detail in polar regions of Jupiter and Saturn, and sharpens edge detail of maria areas of Mars.

#38A Dark Blue (17% Transmission) - Popular for the study of Jupiter, strongly rejects orange and red spectra for greater cloud belt and Red Spot contrast. Also for general detail on Mars, Saturn and Venus.

#56 Light Green (53% Transmission) - excellent for Mars' polar ice caps and yellow-tinted dust storms, and is also for increasing red and blue features on Jupiter and lunar contrast.
