Particular examples and generic studies of Dirichlet series suggest that they can either be continued to the whole complex plane or to a half plane. Du Sautoy and Woodward ask if this should always be the case. However we prove the existence of classes of Dirichlet series whose domain of maximal continuation can be a wide variety of subsets of the complex plane.
