Experts Meeting at Kazcosmos
|
A meeting between the experts of ministries and agencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan and a group of experts of the Russian Ministry of Defense, which also included ISC Kosmotras specialists, was held at the headquarters of the National Space Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astana on May 18-19, 2009.
The parties discussed the draft of the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Procedures for Cooperation Regarding Rocket Launches from Yasny Launch Base, Orenburg Region, Russia with the Use of a Land Plot Located in the Republic of Kazakhstan as a Drop Zone for Rocket Separable Parts.
The parties agreed on a mutually acceptable wording for the provisions of the draft Agreement.
In regard to a number of the proposals made by the Russian side, the Kazakh side will review a possibility of updating the draft Agreement. In parallel, consultations are being held concerning the Kazakh side proposal on its joining the ISC Kosmotras shareholder team.
