Kazakhstan delegation visits Yasny launch base

On February 15-16, 2009, a work meeting was held at the Yasny launch base between representatives of International Space Company (ISC) “Kosmotras” and JSC “National Company “Kazakhstan Garysh Sapary”, which mission is to develop, manufacture and operate, in the interests of national economy, the world market competitive space related equipment and infrastructure. Mr. Talgat A. Musabaev, Chairman of the National Space Agency of Kazakhstan, also participated in the meeting.

During the meeting, the Parties discussed issues related to the promotion of their cooperation in space using the experience of Yasny launch base creation and operation under the Dnepr Program.

The Kazakhstan side expressed their high opinion of Yasny launch base and found this tour, as well as the experience of the base creation to be very useful for the purposes of setting up similar facilities in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Parties exchanged views on the potential cooperation between ISC Kosmotras and JSC “National Company “Kazakhstan Garysh Sapary” regarded by them as mutually beneficial.

Aimed at further promotion of their cooperation, the Parties agreed to hold a next meeting in the near future.
