VI.1. Basic concepts

This section of AMPLE makes it possible to find all those numbered minor planets which can be seen at the given moment in certain part of the sky (e.g. covered by photographic plate or by CCD frame), to calculate their coordinates and to display their mutual positions and diurnal motions. It is supposed that date of observation belongs to basic interval from November of the year preceding to the title one to February of the subsequent one.

If the center of the mapped sky region is situated not far from the opposition point and its angular dimensions are not too great, positions of minor planets are found with account for perturbations. In other case positions of some part of minor planets or even all can be found without perturbations.
