The Results of calculation are displayed in accordance with specifications entered by user. In the header of table the designations presented above (see III.9. Restrictions) are used.
If specified form of output is EMP then astrometric equatorial coordinates are printed in the form usual for Ephemerides of Minor Planets, with formal precision of 0.01 minute of time in R.A. and 0.1 minute of arc in declination. The headline of each ephemeris contains the same data which are given in the headlines of near-opposition ephemerides in the EMP (number and name/preliminary designation, year, month, day (with fraction) of opposition, value of mean anomaly at the nearest standard moment coinciding with or preceding the opposition, the minimum value of phase angle and the date of its occurrence, year of the most recent astrometric observation and, possibly, some flag(s) which indicates minor planets on critical list (flag C) or with great brightness variation — flags R or A) (See ADDENDUM).
Nevertheless if moment of opposition lies outside the basic interval (from November of the year preceding the title one till February of the subsequent one), the headline of ephemeris contains only number and name/preliminary designation and approximate date of opposition.
In case of EMP form, longitudes and latitudes as well as azimuths and altitudes are printed with formal precision of 0.1 minute of arc. Headline contains only number and name/preliminary designation of minor planet and date of opposition (the date corresponds to opposition in right ascension). In case specified form of output is Positions or Positions + velocities spherical coordinates have enhanced formal precision. For horizontal coordinates the form Positions + velocities is not provided.
Values of rectangular coordinates and distances come in astronomical units (AU) and their derivatives in AU per day.
NOTE: If the values for all or some moments of time are computed without allowing for perturbations, such moments are followed by asterisk.
In case all computed data for some object not satisfy imposed restrictions then only number and name/preliminary designation of such object are displayed. Moreover, if the button Reject solitary headings is active, such lines are not displayed at all.
It should be noted that the near-opposition ephemerides are not calculated for bodies/ points with numbers from –12 to 0 (in case they are included into task for computation of such ephemerides only their names are displayed in the results). Geocentric or topocentric ephemerides of these bodies/ points, except the Earth, can be calculated using the second mode of interval specification; nevertheless magnitudes are not calculated (and respectively are not displayed) for them. It should be taken in mind that the phase angle is not defined in case the object of computations is the Sun. If some restrictions are imposed on the value of magnitude or phase angle, they are ignored in case these quantities are not calculated.
The information on coordinate system, its origin (position of observer), and main plane, type of computed positions is given in status bar under the table. In case some restrictions have been imposed on displaying data a warning notice also is given in status bar. User has opportunity to look at all settings, including imposed restrictions, corresponding to obtained results. To do so select Ephemerides in menu bar and then Task info.
At the bottom right of screen the total number of strings in the table is indicated.
