II.3. Selection of elements and functions

To order one of the possible additional functions use list box at the top left of the Select elements dialog box. Mark by slider wanted function. It will take its place in the column headed Select in the lowermost line under designations of minor planet elements.

On each element El in this column one can impose selection conditions of the types

1) El = A, 2) El >= B, 3) El <= C,

at once or apart. To impose conditions introduce wanted numerical or symbolic quantities in corresponding data fields in one line and click on OK. Empty field means the lack of corresponding condition. If conditions of the second and the third types are specified at once and B is less or equal to C, then selection will contain all minor planets with element El complying with conditions B <= El <= C, that is El satisfies conjunction of conditions:
El >= B AND  El <= C.

If B > C, then selection will contain all minor planets with element El complying with disjunction of conditions:
El >= B OR  EL <= C.

Combination of condition of the first type with conditions of the second or the third type or with their conjunction or disjunction, as described above, is considered as disjunction of conditions.

If conditions are imposed on several elements, then selection contains only those minor planets, which satisfy all requirements.

In case no selection is needed and none additional function should be ordered click at once on OK.

NOTE 1: When introducing conditions on Name one can input in fields A, B, C any number of first characters of planet name (to cut short it).

NOTE 2: In case some additional function has been ordered and/ or conditions have been imposed on elements/additional function they are stored and continue to be valid until they are erased or replaced by other ones. To erase all conditions imposed on elements and/ or on additional function as well as to cancel the order of additional function press Erase button located under the Functions button:

Starting from AMPLE-2012 new opportunity is introduced in AMPLE: computations are performed for all objects listed in the user file. The path and name of this file can be introduced after clicking on "Object List". The list must contain object numbers singly in each line. All operations of section Elements can be done for objects from user file.
