Тенденции быстрого развития технических возможностей земной цивилизации свидетельствуют о том, что в обозримом будущем станет возможной расшифровка пока еще во многом загадочного способа кодирования информации, который реализован человеческим мозгом. Проблемы, связанные с этими тенденциями, рассматривались, в частности, в футурологических работах Станислава Лема [1] и других авторов. На самом деле, основные принципы указанного способа кодирования уже становятся понятными, и есть надежда, что успех не за горами. Цель настоящей работы - оценить возможные следствия будущих технических достижений на этом пути в контексте проблематики SETI.

Development trends of terrestrial civilization testify that information encoding methods typical of human brain will be accessible in the foreseeable future. This implies that development of a uniform network of people's mind (brain-net) will be possible. Besides, new methods of genome manipulation will probably allow us to perform eugenic procedures that will provide the possibility of increasing human intelligence to the genius level.
These achievements will lead to disappearance of society (in the common sense of the word), since all this will give rise to common mind and common base of human memory united in the brain-net. On the one hand this implies creation of an immortal superperson with unlimited memory, but on the other, this will result in a new type of mind based on genetically accelerated minds of many people united together. It is hard to imagine heuristic capabilities of such a mind; it should exceed many fold capabilities of a separate mind. This development faces only technical difficulties which are temporary and surmountable. We think that the majority of these difficulties will be surmounted in 100-200 years, which is negligible compared to the lifetime of humanity.
This development will cause disappearance of society and traditional culture, giving rise to the common mind of the second generation. The new mind will be able to transform unpredictably the physiology of bearers of the mind (people) according to their new state. As for the SETI problem, this implies that the mind capable of communicating must be not the society, but the mind of the second generation on unknown material basis (not the society of "little green men"). One can expect the giant gap between intelligence of a certain person and the mind under consideration. The SETI problem will most probably be solved after transition to the common mind, when we tackle an issue related to our inability to analyze and understand the surrounding reality (including existence of other civilizations) on the new level.
