RED DWARVES' PLANETARY SYSTEMS AND THEIR CIVILISATIONS.
N. Sokulina
Abstract
For 50 years the researchers' numerous attempts to establish contacts with Extraterrestrial Civilizations (EC) by "tapping" Galaxy's signals have not any positive results. Observations carried out by the SETI now are focused on contacts with planets of solar type stellar systems, with the use of the terrestrial civilization experience and conceptions.
The choice of stars-objects of researches is up for discussion. According to the author, Red Dwarves can be further preferable research objects of the SETI. Following points are indicative of this fact: The author suggests that stars of spectral types from M3 to M5.5 located up to 10 parsecs away from the Sun and forming binary systems with stars of a later spectral type should be put on research objects lists. The latter fact can be explained in the following way: if there is a younger star near stars, which are 8-10 gigayears old, its energy can support life of a civilization of the aging Red Dwarf. That's why not solitary stars, but stars of binary systems, stars of late spectral types in the first place, are to be considered to be the most promising ones among the Red Dwarves. It's reasonable to search for systems with Red Dwarves close to giant stars.
In respect to mature civilizations of Red Dwarves' planetary systems observation strategy correction is advisable. Particularly, it's reasonable to use several receivers of submillimetric range carried outside the terrestrial atmosphere for simultaneous signals registration. It will help distinguish artificial signals from noise signals.
In quantum-mechanical systems information can be transmitted with speed exceeding light speed to endlessly high speed [1, 2]. Hopefully, the ancient civilizations on the planets in the vicinity of Red Dwarves possess superluminal communications, which will help to establish informational contact with them.
The considered possibilities in principle can yield real results after minor amendments.
