Abstract:
In this paper we give a description of the Electronic Catalogue
of Comets "Halley", which makes it possible to calculate the evolution
of the orbits of comets, to visualize orbital motion, to determine
the circumstances of a comet's close approach to planets within
a given time interval, as well as a number of other opportunities.
The database of cometary orbits contains elements of short-period comets,
calculated with the original method developed at the IAA RAS for constructing
numerical theories of comet motion, covering large intervals of time.
It involves the determination of individual values of the constants Α1, Α2, Α3 (radial, transverse,
and normal components of non-gravitational acceleration according to Marsden's model [1])
and the displacement of the photocenter for each apparition.
