Institute for Solid State Physics has a solid tradition of preparing students for advanced degrees and successful careers. The high quality of scientific researches performed in the ISSP is mostly due to thorough and industrious training of scientific personnel. The departments of the Moscow Institute for Physics and Technology, Faculty of Physics of M.V.Lomonosov Moscow State University and Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys work closely with our Institute. Leading scientists of the ISSP deliver lectures and provide practical training for the students of those Institutes and University. They finished their theses in our laboratories and the best students are allowed to continue their scientific work as post-graduate students at the Institute. Most of ISSP-scientists started as students in our Institute.

Physical department of Pod-Moscowny (Moscow-Regional) Branch of M.V.Lomonosov State University is based in ISSP Since 1995.

Institute accept graduates, holding M.Sc. degrees for working on Ph.D. projects. Three years are normally required for preparation of Ph.D. thesis.
